RULES OF CONDUCT

• No Smoking or alcohol consumption is allowed on the premises

• Consumption of food and drinks should be very limited

• Noise in the corridors and waiting areas should be kept to minimum at all times

• Parents are welcome to observe and participate during lessons. Video and audio recording is only allowed with teacher's consent.

COST

Cost of lessons is $45.00 per 30mins / $90.00 per hour

DEPOSITS

The deposit applies to all students paying for the lessons weekly. An initial deposit of one lesson fee ($45.00) is required prior to your first lesson.

All deposits are to be paid to the office. All students are required to have a deposit in place to secure their lesson time. The deposit will be used as a payment for the last lesson upon termination.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

There are two options of payment: Payment by term and Pay as you go with deposit.  Lessons can be prepaid for the whole term by cash or direct bank deposit. Note, we do not have Credit Card or EFTPOS payment facilities. Pre-payment must be made directly to the office before the start of the term. If you prefer to pay as you go, you have to pay cash directly to the tutor on per lesson basis. (Deposit is needed). Tutors will be able to accept cash payments only.

All pre-payments must be made before the first week of any given term. Prepayments are accepted at the office from the last week of the previous term. Otherwise, online payments can be made during school break.

If you are unable to pay by the due date, you will be required to pay weekly. Cash payment will be required from the third lesson of the term if pre-payment has not been received. If you are unable to pay by the due date, please pay weekly. Lesson times cannot be guaranteed whilst pre-payment is in arrears.

CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHERS

Hornsby Academy of Music is accepting Creative Kids vouchers as part of term payment only. Please note, Creative Kids vouchers are not refundable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The students need to enrol for a full school term. If the student needs to cancel the lesson for any reason, full lesson charges will apply. If a notice of cancellation is given at least 24 hours prior, the tutor could offer up to 2 make-up lessons per term, providing suitable time can be arranged within the current school term. No make-up lessons would be given during any school holidays. Note, if not suitable time can be agreed on, the fee for the missed lesson will still apply. Cancellation on the day or absences will be charged and no make-up lesson offered. Lessons would only be credited or refunded when the scheduled lesson could not be provided due to teacher absence. Prepaid students are required one week notice of lessons termination to get a refund of the remaining amount. Termination for the rest of the term automatically releases the time spot for another student.

TRIAL LESSONS

Trial lessons will be available with a cash payment of a regular lesson charge.
